TEACHERS

Karen Yuri was born in Japan and began her ballet training at the age of three, later starting contemporary dance at the age of ten. She studied at several ballet studios in Japan and obtained her Postgraduate Diploma from Ateneo della Danza in Siena, Italy, in 2019. She has participated in intensive courses and workshops in Italy, the USA, and Japan. After returning to Japan, she began her freelance career as both a dancer and a teacher of classical and contemporary dance techniques. In 2022, she moved to Germany to further broaden her artistic experience. During the 2023/24 season, she joined the Ukrainian Classical Ballet for a European tour, performing in over ten countries in classical repertoire works such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Giselle. She is currently freelancing as a dancer and teacher, based in Düsseldorf, where she teaches workshops and regular classes in Duisburg, Cologne, Wuppertal and other cities.
