TEACHERS

Francesca Merolla is originally from Italy and works as a freelance dancer in Cologne, where she worked with the Dencuentro collective and collaborated with César José Gutiérrez Salsa. Over the course of her career, she danced in various companies and projects, such as the ZfinMalta Dance Ensemble, the Volkstheater Rostock and the Song of the Goat Theater, where she appeared in creations by choreographers Ivan Peréz and Elias Lazaridis, among others. Her focus as an artist is the exploration of authenticity through a physical movement that searches for truth and organicity. She has co-choreographed short pieces that have been performed in Malta, Munich, Belgrade and Berlin. Between the different productions, Francesca also gives workshops and dance courses in Germany, Italy and Poland. Photo: Mattia Nicolai
