Broadway Jazz is an energetic dance style that originated in the musicals of New York’s Broadway theaters. It combines classical jazz dance with show elements and storytelling. Characteristic features include clear lines, expressive movements, facial expression, and strong stage presence.

This class introduces the fundamentals of Broadway Jazz, including rhythmic isolations, distinctive arm and hand movements, dynamic and clearly structured combinations, and typical turns (Jazz turns). Attention is also given to posture and confident stage presence. The learned elements are applied and deepened through varied choreographies, allowing participants to gradually develop both their technique and expressive skills.

The focus of the class is exclusively on dance. Singing and acting are not part of the curriculum, and no prior experience in these areas is required.

Participants may dance barefoot, in socks, or in jazz shoes.
