Impro
Simone Kieltyka, Mina Schneider, Dennis Schmitz, Andrea Kößler

Experience level All Levels: Open to all experience levels. Through variations in the exercises, both beginners and advanced dancers can further develop their individual level.

This class focuses on improvisational tasks that build methodically upon each other and are guided by the respective instructor. Starting from thematic impulses, associative images, or open questions, participants develop movement materials either independently or in exchange with the group or the instructor. These open tasks promote individual expressiveness and trust in intuitive decision-making processes in dance. The goal is to explore different movement qualities and make them tangible through targeted improvisation. The emphasis is not on correct execution, but on attentive perception, creation, and variation of movement in the moment. The sharpened sensory awareness forms the basis for spontaneous response and action in the dance context. The content and thematic focus vary depending on the instructor. The fundamentals and tools of improvisation are taught, catering to all levels of experience—from curious beginners to professional deepening.

Training is done barefoot or in socks.
