Experience Level: Advanced Beginners & Intermediate

These classes are designed for participants with at least 12 months of experience in their movement practice and those who already have a solid foundation. A sufficient to intermediate level of prior experience is required.

This class is designed for participants with a basic foundation in contemporary dance technique – approximately six months of consistent practice – as well as for dancers at an intermediate level who wish to deepen their technical skills and broaden their movement vocabulary. The focus lies in a conscious engagement with the principles of contemporary dance – a form that integrates physical presence, creative expression, and technical elements such as momentum, balance, floorwork, and coordination. The movement approach is organic, fluid, and at the same time dynamic. Participants work with gravity, body weight, breath, and impulse to develop a nuanced understanding of movement that balances control with release. The class combines clearly structured sequences, expansive combinations, and improvisational tasks, allowing dancers to refine their technique, musicality, and movement quality, while also enhancing body awareness and expressive capacity. Through choreographic phrases, the material is applied, expanded, and explored in relation to space, time, and dynamics. The aim is to improve movement efficiency, gain confidence in one’s dancing, and consciously expand one's expressive range.

Training is done barefoot or in socks.
